• This week has been a good one. We picked up 3 new investigators, a few of which look really promising. We picked up a man who has read the entire Book of Mormon and wants to be baptized. He is awesome. Unfortunately he is going to be on probation for at least another year. We have been having great sucess with sharing a spiritual message with everyone. I feel so much more accomplished at the end of the day, and I feel that the Lord puts people in our paths no matter what their membership status or activity levels who need help because he knows we will share a message with them. I Love this work and I love the Lord. Thank you for all your help and your prayers. You really have been a rescuer in my life.
• My companion has been a great influence on my mission so far. I thank you for the inspiration for putting me with him. He's taught me and and has been an example for working hard and being obedient. I'll do my best to aspire to something higher. I love this mission so far and I'm looking forward to finding more people.
• Gospel study has been good this week. I began reading from John. It is amazing all the things in there that point to this Church as the true church. It was a confirmation to me of the truthfullness of this Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Personally I'm doing alright. Thank you very much for the Temple Day on Wednesday. When we sang "The Spirit of God" we sounded like a Choir of Angels. The whole of the experience was most edifying and joyful. Thank you for that most precious experience.
• The Members of the church are one of the most important keys to find and bring people into the church. We have faith that we can baptize weekly and have 21 lessons a week with a member. Preach My Gospel has helped us out with so many things. We should be having lessons with members with their friends and investigators present. Because the prophets have told us that it is the most effective way to bring people to Christ and to stay active in the church. I have come to love the people here and really want them to know how important their role is in the church. They will be responsible for everyone they meet. And I am responsible for them since I know what they are supposed to do.
• We have been teaching more and more by the Spirit I feel and less and less any "wrote" presentation or thing like that. I have felt the Spirit guiding my words a lot more as I have searched and prayed for it. It makes a tremendous difference. We are very excited that we have been able to teach so many lessons the past two weeks and have several appointments scheduled with new investigators later this week so that this continue as some of the people we are currently teaching are getting baptized this weekend. Our companionship is doing really great. We are striving to become more obedient (not that we were ever doing anything terrible, but we weren't being the best we could be). We are trying to do our best at everything we do. Planning has gone much better as a result and we enjoy doing it. We still need to work on improving studies everyday and not getting distracted but we are working on it and it is improving slowly by slowly.
• We had a good week. Thanks for the Temple Day, the Lunch, and the Spanish Meeting with President Mulford. We had three confirmations and one of my recent converts was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood. It was a good week but I know that it could have been better. I have been praying and seeking inspiration as to how to better build the area. I have a plan for this week and I am going to be working under the inspiration of my leaders in the Branch and Ward. We found some really good leads for baptisms we found 3 new investigators two of them are a family. And actually there is more members of the family the we are going to try to teach them.
• The things I learned in the Temple on Wednesday will stay with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for having a mission Temple day.
• We also found this week a guy named rick, one of the most sincere people that i've ever met in my life. i really hope he progresses. his big thing right now is that he is suuuper busy. but wow he is so sincere. we found him by oyming, specifically what elder park calls "word sniping" haha which is just basically oymming from far away. it was really a miracle. In fact we have made a special effort to oym EVERYBODY in our path this week and other than a couple angry people, it has really been a strengthening experiance, but soo hard. D&C 24:12 is very true, about the lord giving us strength beyond that which is known among men.
• Personal studies are going good. I've been reading a lot in the New Testament and it blows me away how much it talks about the organization of the church, exactly the way it's run now. It's incredible. I recieve quite a bit of revelation as I'm reading it and I love cross-referencing things to the Book of Mormon. I really love the scriptures and thaye've been helping me get excited about the gospel and how perfect it is. I'm grateful

• I don't think I have ever worked as hard to find people as I have this transfer. We have tried to apply multiple ways of finding and have seen much success from it. I am sure that many blessings will come from our faith and diligence (D&C 103:36). We have been teaching members, contacting auxiliary leaders, asking everyone for referrals, and opening our mouths to everyone. Our teaching appointments are going great. We are really helping those we teach come closer to Christ. We are also trying to apply the techniques that Elder Bednar taught us to use.Things are going great. We will baptize 6 people before the end of the transfer.
• My study of conference talks has been life changing .. when Elder Bednar spoke to our mission he told us when we go through the conference talks look for three things.. 1 the doctrine 2. the invitation 3. the blessings for following the invitations.. i have been doing that this week and it has opened by eyes to the guidance and direction the Lord has for me for the next 6 months and his promised blessing if i obey .
• I went on exchanges recently and we talked about why we came on mission and he told me his reason, but since he has been on his mission it changed. Then he said it doesn't matter why you go, what matters is why you stay! So when he said that I thought about my reasons why I am staying and in simple it is because I love this gospel! I love seeing people accept it and thats why I am staying! There are many reasons but that is the main one. My love for the gospel and for my Heavenly Father! • So, this was the first good week I've had in months. It felt good... We taught 21 lessons this week, and twice as many with members. One of our investigators was baptized, and it was very good. Good turnout from the branch... a lot of support for him. He needed it.
• Thank you for the interview, it was all about things I had been wondering about or needed. Lately my study of the scriptures has been more focused on the old testament, today I learned how Isac and Joseph were examples of Christ.
• The Mission Temple day was unreal, learn so much each time I go. Every in the temple has a purpose just waiting to be revealed to me. This week I had many questions that came to my mind and I am excited to figure them out.
• I was excited for exchanges. I was companions with another Sister and I really admired her obedience. We focused on talking to everyone and being bold. That day we had 2 lessons with a member and 3 other lessons.
• As for the recent coverts, the ward mission leaders are doing the new member lessons which is wonderful. For the gospel study, I am in the Book of Mormon now just reading and marking scriptures and this helping me because I am getting to know where the PMG scriptures are. Other than that things are doing fine.
• There was an awesome baptism I was able to attend this week. The Lowry's were the first non-member family I taught on my mission. I found out later that Bro Lowry's kettle corn stand was in Midvale and kept in contact with him while I was over here. I heard from the missionaries that his wife decided to be baptized and he later decided to be baptized the same day. It was great to see them enter the waters of baptism. He was telling me yesterday after the baptism that the week they decided to try going to the LDS church was the week that went over to their home and first contacted them. The Lord has a huge part to play in bringing people into his church. I love the little miracles in my mission. It was so cool to keep up with him while serving in this area and to see him and his wife baptized.
• I had a really good personal study this week looking up scriptures under revive. Isa 57:15 was my favorite which said those who are humble and have a contrite spirit will be revived.
• I have been continuing to study the Book of Mormon and am currently reading about the missionary efforts of the sons of Mosiah, which is great stuff. I have gained a much greater knowledge of the book of mormon through my study, and my studies have also strengthened my testimony of the gospel and improved my ability to teach. I look forward to reading my scriptures everyday, because I am realizing how much I have to learn and gain from scripture study. I have also been studying the lessons in preach my gospel, which has helped me to know the important points to teach investigators.
• We keep finding more people by recent convert or every dinner appointment we ask memebers for referral and they always give us some names and check them right away. Also we teach family relatives. In companionship we are really doing better.
• Personally, I have had a very spiritual week. We are trying to teach a young man. Talking to him is just so hard because every time I do I get the saying, "no empty chairs please"(refering to families in the next life) whispered into my ear. I really have grown in my testimony of God's love for each of us individually. Empty chairs have become a personal motivator and I hope and pray that I can help as many people back to their chair as possible. Also, through the testimony of another I have really grown to realize to a greater degree that we are representatives of Jesus Christ. I will do better in the future.
• I think one of the hardest things about it is not so much the work but that there is no downtime to just relax. I think that is one of the things that is really tough for the missionaries because they are not use to all work and no play. Im continually being humbled and it is making me grow up. This week we will work hard to get new people to teach.
• Our prayers are finally being answered. We have two new investigator families that just moved into our area that we have started to teach. They are very golden and want to be baptized. They would have baptismal dates right now if they had come to church a couple days ago. That appears to be their only difficulty. Once they are able to keep that commitment, we can continue on their progression towards baptism.
• This week I am working on diligence. I am doing very well on obedience, but there is more that I can do above and beyond. So I am trying to work harder on all of those aspects. Also I am still reading the Book of Mormon and highlighting everything, so my testimony of the savior and the testimony of him in the Book Of Mormon has grown.
• I love to go to the temple and last Wednesday was so amazing to feel the spirit so strong, and i want to tell you that i know that this is the true church and that God loves me and Jesus Christ payed for my sins and that They want me to teach this to the people, that they can live with God again.
